Electric Power Steering with variable assist Steering effort is automatically varied to provide confident control and stability on the highway, and lower effort for easier maneuvering, especially when parking.

4-wheel disc brakes with Antilock Braking System (ABS) Standard on all Equinox models. Disc brakes provide effective stopping performance and ABS helps drivers maintain steering control on most slippery surfaces by reducing wheel lockup during hard braking.

StabiliTrak - Stability Control System Standard on all models, this sophisticated vehicle stability control system continuously monitors key operating dynamics to help the driver maintain control and keep the vehicle in its desired path.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System Measures tire pressure from pressure sensors located in each wheel. The driver will receive warnings via the Driver Information Center.

16" and 17" tires and wheels LS and LT models offer a selection of tires and wheels. 17" wheels are all new for 2007. - 16" aluminum wheels with P235/65R16 tires (standard on LS and 1LT). - 17" aluminum wheels, clad, pearl chrome with P235/60R17 tires (standard on 2LT). - 17" aluminum wheels, clad, bright chrome, with P235/60R17 tires (available on 1LS, 1LT and 2LT, standard on 3LT). - 17" aluminum wheels, polished forged with P235/60R17 tires (available on all models except 3LT).

Class-leading 112.5" wheelbase Contributes to Equinox’s smooth, solid, stable ride and exceptional rear seat leg room and ingress/egress.

Unibody structure Uses high strength, galvanized steel to create a rigid structure. It includes front perimeter hydroformed tube with welded crossmember designed to absorb energy in a collision. Rigid structure contributes to Equinox’s excellent ride and handling characteristics.

Reconfigurable interior The interior is designed to meet a variety of customer needs with quick and easy reconfiguration of both front and rear seats.

60/40 split-folding Multi-Flex sliding rear seat Provides almost 8" of fore and aft travel for maximum rear passenger comfort or maximum cargo carrying capability. Each section of the seatback folds forward for extra cargo space with both sides folded, there is 67.1 cu. ft. behind the front seat. The 60/40 split seatback also features two recline positions and LT models include a new center armrest to further enhance comfort.

Fold-flat front passenger seat The hard seatback folds flat to easily accommodate cargo up to 8' long. The seatback can also be used as a personal workstation for the driver.

Storage capability Equinox’s interior is well thought out, both from a comfort standpoint as well as usability. Its usability is best noted through a variety of innovative storage methods. - Center console armrest provides concealed storage for smaller items such as a cell phone, PDA, coins, pens and garage door opener. - Floor storage bin, located under the armrest and between the front seats provides hidden storage for large items like a purse or laptop. CDs can be stored in a CD rack located in the vertical tower that connects the center console and floor storage. - Netted storage pockets on both sides of the front center console add convenient storage capacity. - Five convenient cup holders are provided plus two additional rear cup holders on LT models. - Glove compartment is large and able to provide small item storage in addition to pertinent vehicle paperwork.
