What’s new on the 2021 Chevy Colorado?
Introducing the new 2021 Chevrolet Colorado! The mid-size pickup truck gets a variety of updates for 2021 including, most noticeably, dynamic new exterior styling. The new 2021 Colorado boasts its sharp, revised front fascia from the Work Truck (WT) model up to the ZR2 trim.
That said, what exactly has been changed on the Colorado’s exterior? It comes down to a new front fascia, an embossed “Chevrolet” logo on the tailgate in place of the Chevrolet logo and new exterior color options for the 2021 Colorado ZR2 and Z71. Truck shoppers will also notice new standard red tow hooks for the ZR2, a unique Chevy logo design for the WT, Z71 and LT Colorado models. Overall, changes to the new 2021 Chevrolet Colorado are appearance updates only.
2021 Chevrolet Colorado release date
While the automaker hasn’t announced an official release date, it has said that the new 2021 Chevy Colorado will go on sale in 2020. Official pricing is expected to be announced closer to production.
What is the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2?
Overall, the ZR2 model receives the most updates for 2021, all of which highlight the truck’s aggressive off-road capability. The ZR2 is built with off-roading in mind and comes with a segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSVTM position-sensitive dampers, off-road rocker protection, a 3.5-inch wider track, multiple skid plates, cast-iron control arms, standard front and rear electronic locking differentials and much more.

The new 2021 Chevrolet Colorado made its world debut at the 2019 Method Race Wheels Laughlin Desert Classic on Oct. 10. Following that, the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 will make its first appearance at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, November 5-8.
