2023 Camaro: Pushing the Horsepower Envelope 

There are plenty of options for muscle car fans to choose from. Let’s take a look: 

2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. This standard level motor is anything but basic. It kicks out 275 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with the standard 6-speed manual transmission, you can marry new school power to old school shifting. Together, they provide more fun than you can shake a stick at. 

3.6-liter V6. This motor pumps out 335 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque. Like you expect from a V6, the torque kicks in early and stays with you throughout the power band. The standard manual transmission can be replaced by a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters. 

6.2-liter DI V8. The V8 became synonymous with the muscle car wars for a reason. It’s relatively compact, it creates a ton of power, and it is perfectly balanced. This motor generates equal measures of horsepower and torque, coming in at 455 each. That’ll get you from 0-60 in around 4 seconds, which is approaching supercar territory. 

6.2-liter supercharged DI V8. They say there’s no replacement for displacement. However, strapping a supercharger to a big V8 sends power into the stratosphere. This engine delivers a walloping 650 horsepower and an equal number in torque. It comes paired with the 10-speed auto with paddles. Leave everyone in the rearview with a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds.
