It is time to get ready for summer!
What do I need to do to prepare my vehicle for summer?
Next week we will already be in the month of June! We are not sure about you, but it feels like January, and the beginning of 2020 was just yesterday! Since summer is right around the corner, we thought it might be a good idea to discuss the following question: “what do I need to do to prepare my vehicle for summer?” We have put together a brief guide below.
6 things you should do to prepare your vehicle for summer
Check the fluids in your vehicle
To help ensure that your vehicle will run smoothly this summer, check the oil, brake fluid, coolant, power steering, and windshield washer fluid.
Have your battery tested
If the battery in your vehicle is old, have it checked to make sure that it will hold a proper charge all summer long.
Look at your windshield wipers
Nothing is worse than driving through a storm with subpar windshield wipers. Be prepared for everything that you could drive through this summer and change your wipers now if necessary.
Check the air conditioning
Summers in Georgia are hot, to say the least. Test out your air conditioner to make sure that you and your vehicle are ready for the hot temperatures that are to come.
Test the air pressure in your tires
Having fully inflated tires not only ensures that you will remain safe on the road, but it will actually help with your vehicle’s fuel economy.
Put together an emergency kit
You never know what is going to happen when you set out on your next adventure. As a result, make sure that you are prepared for anything that could come your way. Have tools, snacks, blankets, etc. packed in case of an emergency.
